ABOUT ARMOR ROOFING GULF COAST
Armor Roofing Gulf Coast is the next chapter of a company philosophy shaped by decades of roofing, restoration, leadership, growth, and the lessons that come with building systems that have to work when the company gets bigger.

THE ARMOR STORY
After serving in the U.S. Army, Paul Kirkwood joined the roofing company his cousins had founded in 1998. Together they helped grow it into one of Metro Detroit's larger roofing companies, reaching approximately $20 million in annual revenue. The experience went far beyond installation: sales, production, customer service, hiring, culture, supplier and manufacturer relationships, systems, and the consequences when process fails.
After that company was sold to private equity, Paul founded Armor Roofing in Michigan around a more deliberate philosophy of inspection, communication, accountability, and workmanship. Raised in Huntsville, Alabama, he had wanted to return South for more than twenty years. The Gulf Coast expansion is that next chapter, not the beginning of a new company.
Paul had been planning the Gulf Coast move with his cousin, best friend, and mentor Bill. Bill passed away in a motorcycle accident before they could make that chapter happen together. Armor continued toward the Coast, but the move carries more meaning because of the plans and history behind it.

THE ARMOR WAY
We don’t arrive at your home already knowing what we intend to sell you. We inspect the roof, look at the attic when it is accessible, evaluate ventilation, flashing, penetrations, decking, and the details that make the roofing system work.
You get the facts. We give you our recommendation. You make the decision.
A ROOF IS A SYSTEM
Decking. Underlayment. Fasteners. Flashing. Roof edges. Valleys. Penetrations. Intake and exhaust ventilation. Starter. Ridge cap. Installation details.
We don’t just choose a shingle. We design the roofing system around the home.
THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND ARMOR
The experience behind Armor is not limited to selling or installing roofs. It includes helping build and operate a large residential roofing company and learning where communication, process, accountability, and culture become more important as the business grows.
01
Sales, production, service, suppliers, manufacturers
Working across the customer journey taught Paul that the roof itself is only one part of the business. The systems behind inspections, communication, estimating, production, quality control, warranties, and follow-through determine what the homeowner actually experiences.
02
Approximately $20 million in annual revenue
Rapid growth creates opportunity, but it also exposes every weak process. That experience shaped Armor's belief that process, culture, and accountability have to be designed before growth makes them optional.
03
Inspection, communication, accountability, workmanship
Armor was founded to keep the useful systems and experience while being more deliberate about how homeowners are treated, how recommendations are made, and how standards are maintained as the company grows.
SERVING THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST
Armor is beginning its Mississippi Gulf Coast chapter with a focused service area around Biloxi, Gulfport, Ocean Springs, and D'Iberville. The goal is not to cover a map as quickly as possible. It is to grow without losing local accountability.
01
Core Gulf Coast Market
Biloxi is part of Armor's initial Mississippi service area for residential roofing, FORTIFIED planning, and storm restoration.
02
Coastal & Inland Communities
Gulfport homeowners are part of the focused local market Armor intends to serve with disciplined inspections, clear scopes, and accountable production.
03
A Community Armor Intends to Know
Ocean Springs is part of the initial market because local familiarity and manageable drive time matter to the customer experience Armor is trying to build.
04
Close Enough to Stay Accountable
D'Iberville is included in Armor's practical starting footprint so inspections, production, follow-up, and warranty relationships stay manageable as the company grows.
WHAT HOMEOWNERS SAY ABOUT ARMOR
Armor Roofing Gulf Coast is new to Mississippi, but the standards behind the company are not. Until local Gulf Coast reviews begin coming in, selected feedback from Armor's Michigan operation shows the kind of communication, inspection, problem-solving, and workmanship the company is built around.
LEAH | ARMOR ROOFING CUSTOMER | MICHIGAN
“He was quick, honest, and very thorough. He took his time to explain our options. I felt comfortable knowing I would receive high quality work, and that's exactly what Paul and his team at Armor Roofing delivered.”
“I would recommend Paul to any of my friends and family.”
THE ARMOR WAY IN PRACTICE
Whether the concern is age, a leak, storm damage, replacement, or FORTIFIED, the Armor process starts by understanding the home and the homeowner before recommending the work.
Facts first. Recommendations second. Decisions last.
